Basic Concepts

Acro Yoga born from the fusion of Yoga, Acrobatics and the therapeutic and relaxing techniques of Thai Yoga Massage.
And although it is a discipline that can be practiced in pairs, it is a community practice and ideally should have three or more elements, each of which takes on one of the following roles:
The Base, which is in contact with the floor, creates the necessary foundation to support the Flyer (s) in order for him (them) to execute their aerial performance. And the Spotter who, despite his main function is to ensure the safety of the pair (Base and Flyer), simultaneously assumes the role of coach or assistant, correcting and helping the pair during more complicated transitions.
Practice Styles
By convention the AcroYoga is divided in two styles: the Solar where are practiced the postures of balance, counterbalance and acrobatic transitions and the Lunar style, more therapeutic , in which the Flyer surrenders to the Base receiving a massage.
The practice of Acro Yoga requires total trust and commitment from both practitioners, and this is only possible with a lot of assertive and positive communication.
With regular practice, in usual relaxed and friendly environments, AcroYoguis develops among other abilities, confidence, sensitivity, balance, community sense, muscular strength and flexibility, which when transported to everyday life contribute to a life and to make the world a better place.
